The newest of three Starbucks within Bromley town centre, this one is situated in the dead centre of The Glades shopping centre, on the upper level.

I have to admit that I groaned when I saw that yet another branch of this ubiquitous chain was opening, especially as the other two in the are were already in walking distance of each other! That said, I have to admit that, mainly out of convenience from being in the Glades already, I have patronised this Starbucks on a few occasions and to tell the truth, I like it! It's quite a big one with a good amount of seating and service is always fast and friendly. What with xmas fast approaching and shopping ensuing (no, I haven't started yet) I'm sure I'll be glad to sink into one of their comfy chairs (if I can be lucky enough to nab one) with a gingerbread latte to sip while I rest my weary worn out shopping feet.

Terrible customer service. I asked for a filter coffee and they responded by proceeding to charge me for an Americano (30% more expensive) and when I asked if I could have what I ordered they said it would take a while for them to brew coffee. Then I asked if it were ok that they charge me for what I originally ordered and they said no and said they could make it it would just take forever. When I got my americano I went to get milk but they had no whole milk out so when I asked the barista it took him 5 minutes to get the whole milk. Better off going somewhere where they actually care what the customer wants.

Unlike the Starbucks in Market Square, this one is a bit dark and dingy, and it's hit or miss whether you get a cheerful person serving you. It loses another star because it's full of mums with prams at ALL times!

You know what?  This Starbucks kind of annoys me and all Starbucks seem to be going the same way.  It's not cheap and they don't seem to take the time and care that they used to over drinks.  I don't want loving care and attention paid but if I ask for a latte, warm the milk properly and use the thermometer.  If I ask for a chai latte, measure the chai out from the pump rather than pour it from a carton and guesstimate so it's too strong and too sweet.  Sometimes it's good, sometimes it's bad.  Their now-departed assistant manager kept their standards up but, without him, it's slipped again.

The staff are excellant and are always making sure everything is o.k. Must recommed trying some of their cakes on offer as they are absolutely goergeous.
